Living in Chicagoland can be an adventure. This week the adventure was "Snowmagedon". Officially this was the third worst storm in Chicagoland's recorded history. Here are a few pix we took around the house. #1 - The grocery store the day before the storm. #2 - This is what we saw when we opened the garage door. 3-4 feet of snow #3 - Door impression #4 - 3' of snow between our garage and the fence. The neighbors snow hill is about 5 - 5 1/2 feet tall. #5 - This is one of the many "snow hills" we have in our alley. It took 4 of us (grown ups) about 2 hours to clear a 50' long path through the alley. We also had 3' long icicles and Taka was able to dig tunnels through the snow :) Although this was the third worst storm in Chicagoland's recorded history and it was a lot of work, it just wasn't that bad. Everyone pulled together, Neighbors helped neighbors and we all worked together to dig out - and the kids have never had so much fun in the snow. Hope everyone else has fared as well or better! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
