As we begin another Autumn the skies are blue, the clouds are big and the wind is picking up for another great season for kites. Taka' loves to fly kites. Whether it's a kite from the Dollar Store or his huge box kite from his Auntie, it's all good fun. This week the weather was perfect for learning with kites. Taka conducted several experiments to figure out what makes a kite fly, when do we have the best results and how to keep it in the air. To run or not to run? How much string is enough? This led to conversations about air currents at different heights, how to identify the direction of the wind, aerodynamics and much much more. This is our favorite way to learn, by having fun.
